We believe the best way to work with people who hoard is not by immediately cleaning out their spaces, but rather first by helping create understanding about why they hoard. We offer both individual and family therapy focused on getting to the “root” of the problem. Once progress has been made, we work collaboratively with professional organizers to begin the cleaning process. In our experience, this approach seems to be the most effective when working with hoarding problems in the family. We also offer support groups for family members and friends of people who hoard.
The Hoarding Project offers resources for therapy services for people who hoard and their family members in both individual, couples, and family settings.
One of the services The Hoarding Project offers is a support group for family members and friends of people who hoard.
